People are offering their ribs to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg after she fell and fractured three in her office on Wednesday night.
Ginsburg, 85, was taken to George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC, for treatment on Thursday morning as the court held a welcome ceremony for new Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
When news of her fractures broke, people on social media wished Ginsburg a quick recovery — and some even offered up their own ribs.
Others said Ginsberg needed to be “protected at all costs.”
This isn’t the first time Ginsburg has suffered medical problems.
She broke two ribs in a fall in 2012, has had two bouts of cancer, and in 2014 had a stent implanted to open a blocked artery, according to The Associated Press.
In 2009, she was hospitalized for a bad reaction to medicine.
Ginsburg still has no plans to retire and has hired clerks whose terms extend into 2020.
